Die Drills - Carbide Tipped - 140° Positive Point - For Hardened Steel
List number: 5424
For drilling hardened steel from 35 to 65 rockwell C.  Positive point tools are for use on machines with less spindle horsepower - the thinned web permits higher feed rates than otherwise possible.  140° point tools are for drilling tough & abrasive material.  In all applications use copious amounts of coolant, use light feed (.001-.002 IPR) with steady pressure, and keep the workpiece clear of chips.  Run at 75-100 SFPM.
